Considering the current situation of Covid-19 there is a public interest on increasing our defense easily. There are certain superfoods that boost our immunity so plan your meals to include these powerful immune system boosters.

Ginger is a natural and powerful tonic that will boost your immune system, the disease-fighting response of certain types of white blood cells in the body when they encounter viruses, such as the viruses that cause the common cold or flu.

The immune system is like the military that protects our body, from viruses and bacteria, from coming in.

Ginger Chicken

Ginger is a popular spice with some powerful medicinal properties. Adding a little ginger to your lunch can help you stay focused on a task. It can also help keep you feeling full, longer, reducing your overall calorie intake.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Rest Time: 1.5 hour

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 14oz., Chicken Breast boneless cut in bite-size
  • 2tbs., Soya sauce or light sauce
  • 1 tsp., Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tbs., Ginger paste
  • 1 tbs., Sesame oil
  • 3 tbs., Corn Flour
  • 1 cup, Corn Flour (For second time coating)
  • 1 cup, Oil for deep frying

STEP 1

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 tbs., Ginger (Julian cut)                                                                    
  •  5 cloves (chopped), Garlic
  •  2 tbs., Oil     
  •  ¼ cup, water  
  •  ¼ cup, Ketchup
  •  2 tbs., Honey 

Sauce Preparation 

  • Fry ginger over medium-high heat, add chopped garlic, and sauté them
  • Now add 1/4 cup of water along with ¼ cup of ketchup and 2tablespoon of honey.
  • Continue to stir until the sauce turns to a thick consistency.

STEP 2

Instructions

  • Take a big bowl and add chicken, soya sauce, black pepper powder, ginger paste, sesame oil, and corn-flour.
  • Mix well all the ingredients in the bowl and refrigerate it for 1 -2 hours to marinate.
  • Coat the marinated chicken again with corn-flour one by one and keep them aside on a plate.
  • After coating, rest the chicken for at least 15-20 minutes.
  • Take a cooking pan and pour 1 cup oil for deep frying.
  • To check the temperature put a little chunk of chicken in the oil.
  • Fry over medium heat.
  • To make the chicken extra crispy, we will double fry them.
  • Fry until golden brown for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add all the fried chicken in the sauce and mix them well
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion.
  • Serve it with rice, bread or pasta.
